Addison takes her first steps...

Yesterday Addison started taking her first steps (Monday 8/16/2010). She is 10 1/2 months old so right on track to start walking. So proud of my little girl she continues to amaze me everyday and I cant wait to see what she will do next.

Happy Birthday Hayden!

August 7, 2009 a sweet little boy named Hayden was born and now we are getting to celebrate his first birthday. Hayden is my sweet and very red headed little nephew. He is such a cool little dude and I know he will be a good protector for his cousin Addison since he is such a big boy :)

10 months!!!

Addison turned 10 months old yesterday. I know I say this every time but where has time gone! In 2 more months I will have a 1 year old!!! Time to start planning a birthday bash!!!

Here are some things I want to remember about my 10 month old little girl.

- Taking all bottles from her sippy cup! Goodbye bottles :)

- 3 bottles a day 4-6 oz each. Mixing in 1/3 whole milk to start to transition fully over by 1 year.

- Three whole meals a day plus a snack in the afternoon.

- Eating all big girl food now. She will not eat baby food at all

- Standing all on her own and even walking with her push behind toys

- Still loves her pups and says "Pup" all the time to prove it

- Learning to say A-D of the ABC's

- Starting to see some signs of Stranger Anxiety. She is content if she can see me but if she loses sight of me get ready for the melt down

- 100% momma's girl! Loves daddy to but she is a momma's girl. :)

That's the key things for now. Hope to have a few more posts for you soon. We have our cousin Hayden's 1 yr party this Saturday and a baby shower for my little sister on Sunday. Should be a fun weekend :)

Fourth of July

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th! We spent our day at my dads cooking out and swimming with the family. Addison is a little fish and loves to swim so this was a great way to spend the day.


Everyone seemed to have a blast but my poor brother in law David. He busted his ear drum after diving off the high cliff on our vacation so he was not able to swim with us. So he hung out watching videos in the house and playing with the laptop.

My Dad cooked us some terrific ribs and brisket and step mom T made us fresh fried okra, tomatoes, green beans, corn and squash casserole. They both are great cooks so were always down for a night of cooking at their house, and even better if there are leftovers I get to eat them the next day at work! Thanks Tawny :)

9 Month Stats

As promised we took Addison to the doctor today for her 9 month checkup. Thankfully this did not mean more shots. She is not due for any more of those till her 12 month check up.

As for her stats here is where she currently is...

Weight - 17 lbs 2 oz (25th percentile)
Height - 27 inches (50th percentile)

Our baby is growing up!

Well our little pumpkin is another month older! Geez where is the time going?!?! Addison is at a really fun age. She is mobile and crawling all over the place and in to everything!

Here are a few things I want to remember about Addy at this age. Some may be the same as last month but I want to write them anyway!

- She is eating 3 meals a day with 1 snack. She also drinks 3-4 bottles a day ranging from 4-6oz.

- Wearing size 3 diapers

- Crawling and starting to pull up and creep

- Talking da-da, ma-ma, cat, pup and some other things we haven't deciphered just yet

- Turning in to a bad sleeper! Partly my fault while I was off work she lost all of her routine schedule so she was sleeping late and going to bed even later. While we were on vacation she slept with us and now we cant seem to get her to sleep a full night in her crib. Oh well we all manage to sleep some how so I'm not to worried about it, but will be happy when she can sleep alone in her crib again!

- Sooo love able. I don't think she has ever met a stranger. She loves to smile and is so happy with just about everyone!

I love this girl so much. I didn't know this kind of love could exist till I met my Addy! We took her to portrait innovations today for pictures and I think they turned out great! We will be using them for her 1st Birthday invites. Albeit 3 months away but never to early to start planning :)

Summer 2010 Vacation

Just got back from our first family vacation. We stayed at Cliffview Resort just like we used to when I was a kid. I don't think I could have asked for a better trip. We stayed from Thursday to Monday and did just about everything there was to do. Addison did great, she was a handful but I think we all enjoyed our selves. Regretfully I didn't take one single picture! I was just to busy enjoying the outside and family time that I didn't even think of the camera. I did however stole some of the pictures my sister Kaylyn too. I think we will be going back next year but a month earlier since it was SOOO hot!

A lot going on the rest of the week. Eclipse screening tomorrow then I start back at work on Thursday. Addison turns 9 months on Saturday and we will be taking her to have pictures are taking. Then swimming and cooking out for the 4th on Sunday. I plan to take pictures and I'm going to hold myself too it! :)
